The pitch

This film is dedicated to the agriculture of the Aztecs, in particular - maize, as it played a big role in the culture and cuisine of the Aztecs and, consequently, Mexico.

The film also depicts the hierarchy of the Aztec society as it progresses from the maize plantations (“chinampas”) to the market and eventually to the Emperor’s dining room.

The graphic style is inspired by the Florentine Codex from the 16th century which is one of the most extensive pieces of documentation of the Aztec society.
